Every buyer is considered to know and accept our general buying and payment conditions. No variation to these Conditions shall be binding unless expressly agreed in Written.
Orders
All orders are accepted with reservation and executed as to our possibilities.
Term of delivery is always given by method of approach. On demand a written confirmation of the order will be sent. De goods are sold and accepted in our office and warehouse, no matter what place, manner or terms of the delivery may be. No order may be cancelled except within 8 days after Written confirmation of the order and except our Written agreement. In this case the Buyer shall indemnify the seller for an amount of 10% of the order.
Prices, terms of delivery, shipping, reservation of ownership
Prices and delivery terms are approximate. Except contradictorily stipulation, taxes and shipping costs are due to the customer. The goods travel on risk of the customer even when shipped carriage free. The goods stay property exclusive of the seller until the total payment of the invoice.
Indemnity
Every complaint shall be sent by signed post within 8 days after delivery. After this period the goods suppose to be accepted. If he customer does not accept the goods, they will be stored on cost and risk of the customer, until complete payment. All products returned must be 100% complete, contain all original boxes, packing materials, and contain all manuals, other accessories and documentation packed by the manufacturer. The customer has to pay the shipping cost and insurance for returning the products.
Terms of payment
All our invoices are affordable at the dares of the seller, in cash, net and without discount except other agreement by ordering. The non-payment of the invoice brings immediate claim of all non-paid invoices and gives de seller the permission to stop executing all orders. Every non-paid invoice gives the seller the right without written notice to add 8.5 % conventional interest.
In case of dispute only the court of Gent is authorised.
Warranty
The warranty shall be limited to the warranty provided by the supplier or manufacturer with the following limitations. Warranty for visible destitutions is excluded from the moment of acceptance of the products in our shop and warranty for hidden destitutions if there was a written objection within 8 days after delivery. The warranty is limited to the replacement of the defective product by the same or equivalent. The Buyer shall pay all costs as transport, insurance. The seller shall be under no liability in respect of any of the following after the passing of risk in the Goods: fair wear and tear, wilful or accidental damage, negligence, alteration or repair of the goods without approval in Writing, failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions or without limiting the foregoing, the use or handling of the Goods without a high standard of care.
All new goods have a warranty of 12 months. Reparations have a warranty of 3 months.
The seller shall not be liable for any loss of, damage to or disclosure of data either contained in Goods or Software returned to the Seller for any reason whatsoever or arising from the supply of Services by the seller and it is the Buyer’s responsibility to take all adequate back-up precautions to include, but not limited to, the taking of back-up copies of any such data and the removal of confidential data. The seller can never be held responsible for indirect damage originated by defect of the hardware, all loss of data, software or loss of manpower. The seller can never be held responsible for non-written promises or for damage to hardware caused by climatologic circumstances, bad electricity and wrong connection of the hardware.
Delivery Information
Orders for products available in Belgium will be delivered within 72 hours.
If, for reasons beyond our control ( e.g. stock shortage, transport strike, courier delay, ...) these period can not be met, we will do our utmost to deliver within a reasonable time.
Goods ordered may be collected from our offices during business hours or the goods will be delivered to your premises by our shipping services, between 8h00 and 17h00. In case the order is below 1250 €, 15 € (excl VAT) will be charged, in case the order is above 1250 €, delivery is free.
Return of Goods
To return a product at Altan, you'll need to request a Return Merchandising Authorisation (RMA) number. NO returns of any type will be accepted without RMA Number.
How to obtain a RMA Number?

We'll need the following information to authorize your return.
- Customer Name
- Invoice Number
- Item Serial Number
- Nature of Problem
Original shipping charges are not refunded or returned tiems. Customers are responsable for all shipping charges back to Altan on return and Altan will pay shipping charges on the replacement or exchange going back.
All products returned MUST be 100% complete, contain all original packing materials, contain all manuals, other accessoires and documentation presented by the manufacturer.
Altan strongly recommends you fully insure your return shipment in case damaged and use a carrier that can provide you with proof of delivery for your protection.
Payment
When products are collected, they are to be paid cash, when the products are delivered to you, they are to be paid cash on delivery. Subject to written approval of our credit insurance, a credit period of 30 days from the date of invoice can be granted.
