Altan is founded on 1/9/1982 by Luc Haers and was originally a one-man bvba.

Atlan originally started as an import company for bulbs for cars and motocycles. The experience with import from Asia and the opportunities for a PC industry of the mid-eighties made the company start with the sale and technical support for PC's. Due to the growing succes, it became the main activity and the sale of bulbs was brought to an end. The partnership was transformed to a NV on 26/1/1990. The three main pillars of Altan are
